Death is rarely permanent here- didn't the others mention that? Mama set up a garden that allowed bodies and souls damaged too heavily by the Forest to recuperate- she's going to resurrect there, and then I'm gonna go get her. It's my job to lead people back from the Garden to the Grove safely!
I've... kiiiinda been dealing with a bunch of stuff. Never really had the chance to ask after it. [Death not being permanent might have alleviated at least one fight between him and Wolfwood.]
I can walk the paths freely, and as she's going to be escorted by me, she will be unharmed so long as she doesn't let go of my hand. ... Though, the Forest requires a price to leave the Garden- so as to, um, discourage people from dying too often. It can be bloody, sometimes.
